The Glenrothes Distillery was founded in the Speyside town of Rothes, in 1878 by James Stuart and Co. The distillery almost came to a terrible end, when it was destroyed by a fire in 1922. It was rebuilt and the stills were increased from 4 to 10 in 1963. Alexander Murray brings you this rare bottling of Glenrothes distilled in 1993, matured for 18 years in oak casks. Glenrothes is used in blends such as Cutty Sark and The Famous Grouse.
